In 2020 the Society introduced a new credential structure during the COVID epidemic to make the Modern School of the Italian Sword's teachings more readily available through Zoom clinics.  The requirements for these credentials are:

Level 1 requires a 5 hour familiarization course in the weapon, and verifies that you have the knowledge to incorporate Mangiarotti's techniques in one or two weapons in your teaching.

Level 2 requires all one, two, or three weapons at Level 1 and an oral and/or written examination on the Mangiarotti technique.

Level 3 requires completion of Level 2 and a North American Mangiarotti Society instructor clinic.

These credentials are not a substitution for credentials as Assistant Moniteur or its equivalent or higher by the United States Fencing Coaches Association, any national academy of arms recognized by the Academie d'Armes International or the International Fencing Coaches Association, or the Classical Academy of Arms.  They are an endorsement to an existing recognized coaching certificate to indicate knowledge of the Mangiarotti technique.

Maintenance of North American Mangiarotti Society credentials require a minimum of 12 hours of structured continuing education a year.
